Five years--not long at all. Knoll Cato wears like shit. The thick yarns are stitched down by thin threads that break easily. Then, you've got thick fettuccine-thick yarns flopping everywhere.

It's baffling that you're not getting better quality and service at this level.

That's awful. I have a preference for Maharam Kvadrat for reasons like that, most of the line is very sturdy. I havent had the same experience, but I just dislike knoll's fabrics. They all conjure up mental imagines of sunk-in living rooms for me.

We switched to Hallingdal. Supposedly it is near bullet-proof.

That's a good choice, its part of the maharam Kvadrat line.

I can see a fabric surviving a rub test with good results (as most wool or wool based do) and performing terribly in real life. They are not forced to content with buttons, belts, watches, ect in the testing, just a worsted wool fabric on a pad.

Are flat-woven, kilim rugs typically so "low-resolution" and irregular, or is this just obviously a junky rug?

If you keep that rug, please write "Start" at the upper left corner, and "Finish" at the lower right corner.

I don't think I've ever seen all-white furniture done well. Can it be done?

    I really worry about foo.

On the other hand, it's strangely reassuring that he doesn't change.
