Anything wrong with wearing AE "Strand" shoes with chino's?

I really like the walnut AE strands, but don't wear a suit often at all as I am a student. Anything wrong with wearing these more casually dressed with say a blazer?

The Strands are really versatile, I've heard of them being worn with jeans even. So yes they will look lovely with a blazer/sport coat

Yes, for sure. The brogue-ing (?) makes them very casual

Thanks for the replies, I contacted AE in wisconson and a man named Adam helped me out in picking out a pair of seconds for a decent price. Quite excited to recieve them. I thank this forum for introducing me to so many new brands I was unaware of!

This might be a naive question, but how do you contact AE about seconds? Is there a special number to call for their seconds warehouse?

Yup those shoes look great with chinos and a blazer. Especially in Walnut.

+1 wouldn't mind trying to snag some nice beater penny loafers for when the weather gets nicer if the price of seconds was good

I wouldn't suggest wearing them with jeans. If you must wear AEs with jeans your best bet would be the Bayfield boot or maybe a pair of MacNeils.
