i just bought this lightly worn Hickey Freeman suit on ebay ($32 shipped!), and for the money i know i can't go too wrong, but i've never bought a suit online and without knowing all of the specific measurements i am hoping it will fit me!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=290288483575

I had 2 concerns about this suit i am wondering what experts here think... first off, the jacket is "partially lined." I don't have any jackets like that and am wondering if it's best to just get it fully re-lined or wear as it is. I posted below the best pic they had that shows that.

Second, I wear a 42-43 R/L, and from buying jeans i know i get about a 31 length. Is this suit pants gonna be long enough because the length says 38 but the inseam is 28, so i don't know which is which.

Any other thoughts on this? i was surprised it went so cheap so wondering if maybe i missed something in the size lengths that makes it an odd fit?

It's a 28 inseam -- these things are going to be highwaters on you (the 38" refers to the total length of the pants, not the inseam). The suit is also ancient. Basically I think what you're left with is an old coat is a sort of old-man plaid with fairly low gorges and low button stance. Either it'll work with dark jeans as sort of an ironic piece or it's a lesson learned.

If you look close you can see a piss stain in the crotch area. (;

Just looks like an old cut with drop 8 pants that are rather short. I like the fabric though

i appreciate the feedback...it goes to show a deal is not a deal unless it actually FITS you (and looks good!) so lessen learned i guess...i thought the 38 referred to the length i wanted. oh well

I believe the pee stain was a joke from a thread a few weeks ago. Someone purchased some pants on ebay that had a pee stain.........

I dont think you should take the pee stain comment literally

I bought a gray flannel HF of that vintage (same tag) which was mis-measured. I put it back on ebay with proper measurements & it sold quickly.
