IMO, sickest boots i have ever seen. however a lil too steep for my university student budget (720)

anyone know of a similar substitute? thanks

Great boot.

They're made buy a Canadian company called Dayton for Wings + Horns. I have a couple pairs of Daytons, but they don't look like the pair above. Wow, $720.00 is steep, but I can tell you the quality/build of my Daytons is pure craftsmanship.

Barney's co-op has a pair that's similar, although I'm not sure about the consitency or texture...definitely worth taking a look at, especially because they're probably on sale now

Surplus Army Boots.

Cost: probably around $50

They def look military ish but I haven't found any similar.

Brown ones are nice.

the boots have a unique (fashion forward) toe box and are pretty slim, i dont think ill find that in a surplus

Don't know about the Owens, but much the Sid boots are made in Mexico instead of good ol' USA like the classic Brandos (to be discontinued?

) or Engineer model. Quality is understandably lower according to reviews on here.

+1 on SId's quality, i love the boot, but I'm worried how long its gona last me... My first Fryes Engineers bought in the 80s are still going strong

I returned a pair of the Sids to Zappo's, kept the Brando lace ups instead. The look of the cognac Brandos seemed much nicer. The wrap-around lacing on the Sids also seemed like a pain.
