I just want to know if anyone is familiar with the triacetate material (for suiting) and how you feel about it. I for one place it on the same level as polyester. Hate that the label I work for and a huge portion of their clientele prides themselves in this damned material. Your thoughts...

Unrelated to the content of your original post, but how could I learn about women's clothing the way I learned about men's clothing on this forum? Or is that impossible, due to the different nature of women's clothing?

I watched tons of "What not to wear" and subscribed to instyle magazine (they're more informative about the average woman than Elle, Vogue, etc). Generally a lot of the same rules apply for women and men

I'm all about natural fibers, whether I'm buying it for myself or my wife. Who wants to wear this:

Triacetate is derived from cellulose by combining cellulose with acetate from acetic acid and acetic anhydride. The cellulose acetate is dissolved in a mixture of dichloromethane and methanol for spinning. As the filaments emerge from a spinneret, the solvent is evaporated in warm air, in a process known as dry spinning, leaving a fibre of almost pure triacetate.
