Anyone with experience with Isaia and STP?

Does anyone here have experience with ordering with Isaia suits or sportscoats from Sierra Trading Post? They seem to have a great selection of fairly current season merchandise in regular sizes. If you ordered, were you happy with the quality (i.e., these aren't seconds or irregs, are they)? How about ease and use of return policy?

Thanks for any feedback. I've always thought Isaia had a great combination of fabric, cut, and quality, so I am looking to take advantage of their great pricing.

I've ordered several. They are usually closeouts or overstocks, but everything on STP is clearly labeled in that sense. The return policy is awesome.

Ben at eHaberdasher is also very easy to do business with and has a good return policy, but his Isaia inventory recently has been sparse.

I've ordered several items from Isaia and Corneliani thru STP with spectacular results. I do find they tend to get a lot of the boxier 3-button inventory but as others have pointed out the return policy is ironclad. So you can try it on and as long as you don't screw anything up or remove tags you can send it back.

Quality has always been first-rate - these are not seconds.

+1, not risk , great return policy.
However, I've noticed lately they have been selling some old Isaia stocks ( like from 4 or 5 seasons ago), at least the one I ordered a few months ago appeared that way. But their Isaias are legit and qulity is the same as the ones sold in big department stores.

Would the suits marked "Stuart," presumably the Stewart model indicate those of 4-5 years ago?

a good chance, newer models are "S" and "V", they abandoned the names a few seasons ago

I've picked up a suit and a sportcoat. They have taken their prices up it seems the past year, so if you can order a suit with a coupon that definitely helps. A little digging will yield 20-25% coupons fairly regularly. Also, I think STP has a deal with SForum where you get a percentage off on clothing if you link from the STP icon on SForum...

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
