Anyone want to lend me a nice tie to match my white/purple stripe shirt?

basically I have my homecoming at the end of the month and I don't want to look a typical teenager with zero sense of fashion but at the same time I don't have much money to spend on something I'll rarely wear.

Anyways I'm on an iPad so I can't post pics but it's a Hawes and Curtis warwick tailored fit shirt, white with thin purple pinstripes I got on sale in London for £18.

Any ideas for tie options? Im thinking either a dark purple, blue, or possibly even dark green?

Shipping would be to Michigan, usa and I'd be happy to pay as a courtesy.

Thanks

Dave's suggestion is good. Maybe post the shirt in MC and ask for suggestions. After that, check B&S where you could probably find something that is/was suggested.

Come to think of it, maybe a bit much with a striped shirt (I'd love it with a check though). Perhaps this?

For the cost of shipping the tie back and forth, just buy a decent, basic tie. Ask for advice on which tie to pick. No one (in their right mind) is going to mail an expensive tie to a highschool kid they've never met and hope that he (a) returns it (b) with no stains or pulls. If your stuff fits well and the colors match, you'll be head and shoulders above the highschool kids without the need for a Drake's or Brioni tie.
