That sounds right up my alley, I kinda like the crazy old tech stuff. Seems like some of the older technology was just more inventive and wild compared to now.

It is my ambition to own a 1950s era telephone connecting system, preferably something gleaned from a defunct government office.

Once I saw how they used to trace calls back in the '50s, and it was quite wild.

The guy who wrote this book also has a website devoted to retro technology, cars, audio equipment, and video equipment. Its www.retrothing.com. A very cool website, I've spent hours reading the various posts.

Yes! Plus he has instant credibility for me as he not only is an Amiga user, he was involved with ImageFX! +1000 points in my book there!
