    Hey fellas,

I have been looking everywhere for a pair of grey double monks. I can't seem to find many anywhere. I think I found one or two pairs but neither by a respectable higher end brand.

If anyone can recommend any or seen any somewhere I would love to see them and hopefully If i love them they are still available.

Max im willing to spend is 1200.

    Best Regards,

    J

Go to a John Lobb trunk show and custom order them in that color. It might be closer to $1,400 but you will get a premium shoe.

If looking to make a fashion statement, just Google grey double monks. There are many options at far less than $1,200. But they are more fashionable than classic style.

MTO places like Edward Green, Gaziano &Girling, Vass, and Alfred Sargent Hand Grade will probably run around $1K to $1500.

Allen Edmonds can probably be had for under $500 :)

I've seen Cheaney grey dubmunks but that was a while ago. They're decent quality.

I was never much for shoes in any color but the classic tan, brown, black....but I've seen more grey shoes combined with denim and the combo looks good to my eyes.

Thanks for the tip! I checked out Gaziano, under their made to order page it didn't look like they had a grey swatch but I've sent them an email to enquire. As for edward I might have to give the boutique on jermyn street a buzz.

Might be right about GG, closest I have seen from them is their midnight blue, which seems to overlay on top of grey...

Vass would be well under your budget. And their turnaround is a lot quicker than EG or G&G for MTO.

    EG Westminster in Cloud Antique:

I have a pair of those. They're the Cheaney 'Harpole' dubmunk. Got them from one of the ebay resellers. I think my pair was either an MTO or sample. They're nice, but not EG nice. Similar to these, but mine have a Brown sole edge:

I've always admired Cheaney's proportions. The price point is definitely sweet and their leather is decent. I've wanted to pick up their Imperial line shoes but none of the styles have really interested me.
