Anyone know why TM Lewin now has fused collars?

The new TML non-iron shirts all have fused collars and cuffs. Yet the unfused collar has traditionally been one of TML's selling points. So why are they now using fused collars and cuffs for their non-iron shirts?

Speaking of which, are all unfused collars necessarily soft? Does Brooks Brothers use unfused collars?

I think the best people to ask are those at TM Lewin. Why not send them an email?

non iron is always fused.
in fact all of the seems are glued together.

the weight of the collar depends on the lining used. some are heavy like what turnbull/charvet use. lighter weights are used for button down collars.
brooks fuses almost all oof the collars except for button downs
