Anyone know where to get a custom suit in NY area for around $400-$500?

Is it even possible? I like Astor & Black but they seem to run around $1,000+ which is a bit out of my price range. I searched the forum but couldn't find anything possible for the price I was asking, which leads me to believe it's likely not available, but I figured I would ask anyway in case anyone knows. Thanks in advance!

Suit Supply might fit your needs - I've heard lots of positives. No personal experience, but perhaps somebody can lend their guidance.

+1

You can't even get a monthly parking spot for $400-$500 in Manhattan. Custom (and I assume 'bespoke') will run you around at least $1K and the fabric used will probably be unremarkable.

Nothing of known decent dependable quality at that price level. Might be able to get MTM suit from LS Men's Clothing in NYC for under 800 USD. Mr. Ned's is semi-bespoke starting at $850.

One option might be Chinatown tailors. LNC tailor in Manhattan used to do bespoke work for around 500-600, and may still. SFer chorse got some decent bespoke pants from them years ago: there's a review somewhere on SF.

Stop being cheap ass, you know there is no way you could have a bespoke or MTM suit for that amount of money

Check out Enzo Custom Clothiers, located at 501 Fifth Avenue, Ste. 707.

Can't speak for the quality, but they seem to have a deal where you get a Super 120's suit, 2 custom shirts, and 3 ties for $595.

Like I said, I have no idea about the quality but for your price range it might be worth a shot.

I have the same question as Superfluous'. Is there a reason you need a custom suit? The most important thing is how a suit fits and you can find a well fitting suit with above average fabric for that price at Suit Supply and definitely by sleuthing on SF. But if you're worried about price, with all do respect, perhaps "custom"--whatever that means--isn't right for you at this point.

Of course we could all be reading too much into the question and assuming you mean MTM or bespoke...

He could be in my situation, 5'6" 120 pounds and unable to fit into any RTW. I'd like an answer to this question too.
