Electro as in the 80s hip-hop thing? or the Detroit bass thing? Or the minimal music thing? Or the french touch revival thing?

I like the minimal music thing. Pan Sonic and Ryoji Ikeda mainly.

meh, any kind of electro, maybe. i'm mostly into the "french touch revival thing", as you called it. justice (although they kinda suck), soulwax, the ed banger as a whole, bnr, and so it goes on. do you guys know of nano records? it's an italian electro label. me likes it.

All of the above? I like pretty much anything with a good beat and someone doing interesting stuff with oscillators.

What is 80s electro hip-hop? I've never heard of such a thing. Are we talking stuff like Mantronix here?

I worked at house music clubs for too long - can't stand EDM

I love electropop/synthpop stuff, figurine/james figurine, casiotone for the painfully alone, small sins, elkland, postal service, etc...

My friend Grayson does electro stuff under "the beat shaman" and it's pretty impressive when he plays live - 2 folding tables worth of laptops, electronic equipment, drum machines and more.
