With the liner..I was wondering how "warm" it keeps you. I live in Michigan so it does get quite cold here. I do not know how warm the liner is, but temperatures here can drop below 0F in heart of winter. Thoughts?

more like who doesn't wear an m65 here....

depends on the kind you get....some are lined, some not. i'd imagine the surplus ones are kind of good about keeping you somewhat warm, as they are military

Last year I wore a wool jacket from Gap with a sweater underneath (I think). That kept me fairly warm (at least my upper body).

This year all I have is a jacket from H&M that will probably not be able to do so...

A milsurp M65 with the lining in should be noticeably warmer than a wool jacket. I think you'd be fine. Plus, real M65s fit a bit wide and boxy, so you can layer plenty under there. They're not particularly fitted.

I don't like M65, I think it's played out and I hate the look.

The wool jacket looks like **** ( everything collects on wool.) i tried dry-cleaning it but to no avail. besides, it's bit boxy (GAP).

a m65 even with the liner won't cut it.
