I've had these Byron's ten years. They were in "chili" but changed the color - I'm having them reconditions soon- the sole just went.

I have both. Byron in Chili and Black and the Dryden in Mocha. I like them both. The Byron is my favorite AE shoe. I've darkened the chili color a bit and it's really nice. While the Dryden has a slightly squared-off toe, it's still pretty conservative and versatile. The only thing I don't really care for is the color. Mocha is dark brown but the color is a little flat and one-dimensional. It's just...brown. The chili is beautiful with a nice patina.

I have both. The Byrons are a great shoe. Very comfortable (on the discontinued 4 last). The Dryden is pretty good too. Not as dressy as the Byron but still good for work. Also probably a bit easier to dress down.

I used to have Drydens in brown (chili?) and black....easily the best looking AE shoes imo. Really nice toe medallion, has a unique pattern to it.

I have Byrons in black, brown and chili. Nice shoes. Marginally more comfortable than my PAs, but I don't wear any "suit shoes" much, being a more casual sort of guy.

I have Byrons in chili, black and suede. Here's my suede Byrons:

Byron is on the #4 last which is fairly full fitting.

I have Byrons in black and Drydens in chili -- tend the wear the latter more often because I have more black shoes than brown.

I thought the Byron was discontinued, no?

So it is, so it is. The resuscitated Fifth Avenue is pretty much the same shoe except on the #5 last, whereas the Byron was on the #4.
