Anyone here try Uber car service?

Friend of mine told me about the app today. Brilliant idea. On demand car service done via an app (or texting). Car is usually a town car, escalade, etc. Fares are reasonable. Drivers rate the passenger and vice versa. Your CC is charged (including tip) so no money exchanges hands. Only available in NYC, DC, LA, SF, boston, Chicago and a few other cities.

Anyone try it? I will try next time.

I use it all the time. I live in Jersey City, so to get back home from Manhattan it is actually cheaper than taking a cab and you can stay inside drinking until they arrive. They're usually really fast and pull up in a towncar or large SUV.

They just raised prices on Saturday nights in New York so they must be doing well.

I've used in DC once. Liked it. Haven't really needed to use it since, as my travel is just home to airport usually. I'm a big fan of what they're doing...

I've used it twice and wholeheartedly recommend them. For some reason last Friday I couldn't get a car so they decided to credit my account $10.
