Hello, All

New to the forum. I have a Levi's denim jacket that I purchased a few years ago that I'm trying to find more info on. I've never seen another one like it, and I've searched everywhere. I cannot seem to find any info on it whatsoever. Not even pictures. If someone knows about Levi's and their denim jackets and wouldn't mind shedding some light on this for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. BTW, great forum.

Here are some pictures I took today.

Just for the record, I purchased this used and the jacket is in VERY good condition. I THINK its "kind of vintage", but this is just a guess. Could totally be wrong.

Why? You can clearly see the jacket in the pictures. I didnt post asking to be judged on how the jacket looks on me. I'm asking for information on the jacket itself. Not sure how seeing it on me would pertain to my questions?

I think the engineered line dates back to the early-mid 90s. It was designed so that the cuts of the items were more anatomically in line with natural body motion. For instance the jeans had a twisted seam and angled hems. That crossbone patch seems to be added by the previous owner, but I could be wrong.

Thank you, funkyprez. I had read an article, though not sure how true it is, but it stated that the engineered line was for the Japanese market. Do you know if there is any credence to this?

I've wondered about the crossbones patch on whether it is original or not. Its difficult to tell.

The engineered line was available in US Levis stores and in some department stores such as Macy's. I never recall seeing embroidery or patches on any of the line. I'm pretty certain that was added by someone after their purchase.
