Anyone heard of Steed (UK) shoes?

Apparently made in England (possibly for a US vendor).

I have an opportunity to buy a pair (brown, cap toe) for a decent price but I hesitate because I cannot find any information on the brand/manufacturer.

Any info would be appreciated.

Sorry, never heard of them.

Maybe it's a retailer or it might be just one of those made-up names to suggest a traditional brand.

Could it be a re-badged, RTW offering from Steed tailors? I.e., Edwin DeBoise? Or is this another company entirely?

Jason Amesbury might know. They are buddies and shared the Timothy Everest shop at 32 Elder Street for a while until Jason's basement workshop flooded.

I bit on the deal. They will arrive in a few days and I can see if they are worth the dough.

The shoes are not Steed tailors and just to say that they have never been at the Tim Everest shop.
