Anyone heard of Everett Hall ?

How does this guy stay in business? He has a store in Bethesda and one in Tyson's II - these are upscale area in MD and VA.

He sells suit similiar to **** found in KG Mens **** store.

He and his brother are fixtures in the dc clothing scene for years.
about 10 years ago they tried to launch a wholesale line with minimal success.
quality mdse with a sort of high end ethnic look.

I went in once. It was....interesting.... You have to remember, though, that there's a serious market for cheap suits. There are a lot of people in low-level office jobs who still need to wear a suit daily as uniform, but don't have the assets (or desire) to invest in quality. For them, it's just what they have to wear to work. And they apparently don't mind sweating through the plastic liners of their polyester suits.

I don't know the prices of these suits. I'm assuming it's high end **** wear like the ones I posted from overstock.

^^ Jesus Christ! Break much? He's dressed Patrick Ewing, Sugar Ray Leonard, Nelson Mandela... he went to Howard University. I too wonder how he stays in business -- he has a location on the first floor of Tyson's II! I stopped in once on my way to Neiman Marcus (it's right next store) and was COMPLETELY and utterly underwhelmed. I actually felt a little sick to my stomach. Needless to say I left in a hurry. I tried on one jacket and it was actually worse than the worst suit at Marshall's. I seriously wanted to take a shower immediately after leaving that place.

+1 You called it right on the money. I have friends that buy his stuff (suits made by Lubian 1911) and it's not cheap. A few years ago I was with "my boys". We were in town for a jazzfest and they wanted to shop there.
They were impressed because some NBA stars shop there. I tried to talk them out of buying anything, but I failed

Detroit has a store downtown called The Broadway. The Broadway sells the same type of overpriced clothing. I don't Broadway or E. Hall has any canvased suits or sleeves with working buttonholes.

Cheap? EH suits were selling for over $1000. Ugly styles, but the fabric isn't cheap. Are you sure you went in E Hall? His customers have funds and they don't work in low level offices

That blows my mind. I assumed the suits were cheap since they looked (and look) like absolute, unmitigated crap. Frankly, I don't care if they're made of the finest material on earth -- to me, they're $150 suits. And, frankly, the $150 suits I've purchased in my life have all looked better.

I've been to Everett Hall's store many times and have never been able to pay the $1700 price he has on those suits. He markets the fabric more than the styling. He claims to have traveled the world looking for exclusive fabrics that factories swear to only sell to him. I believe that the styling is based on folks who want to emulate the sports figures and entertainers. They need to know that these folks actually have their garments custom made and are not off any rack. I think you can make an EH suit look nice with extreme tailoring but why would you do that? While I do not think these suits are KG quality, they are not worth the asking price either.

Store is in Chevy Chase DC across the street from Neimans and the Saks Mens Store. He usually double parks his vintage Rolls in front. How do I know you ask? Well....the license plate has his name on it.
