I'm thinking about buying a JL Slater belt, but how does it fit? I have a 30" waist, so usually I'd get 32. But I looked on the website recently and the sizing chart says "Size 85 - fits 30 waist" or something like that. I don't want to get a 30, and then have to struggle to pull the belt together. I also don't want to get a 32 and end up having it too loose. So for those of you who have JL belts, what is your waist size and what belt size did you get?

I'm also thinking about getting a JL Dotter belt. Anyone have one and can show me a picture with you wearing it? It looks like it has a really big buckle so I just want to see how it looks when you wear it with jeans.

i've got a 36/100 JL belt from a few seasons back and it fits just about right on my 36 waist.

I used to work somewhere that sold those. If I still worked there I could get them to you for like 70-80.

But yeah they fit exactly as tagged.

Ok thanks, I just got one in the mail today, but I can't figure out how to put it through the belt loop! I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous, but the loop is blocked off by another piece of leather, here are some pictures

Am I supposed to cut that piece of thing blocking the hole or something? I've never gotten a belt like this, so I have no idea if that piece of thing serves any purpose.

You are joking, right?

Oi, if not, you have the tongue coming out the wrong side. It should go under the buckle and out the other end, and go through the keeper (what you erroneously call the belt loop) but not on the back side of the belt. The piece of leather parallel to the strap is there to keep the keeper in place.
