Anyone have firsthand experience with this BB/Peal boot?

Own it? Seen it? It appears to be the C&J Coniston.

This model is not made by Crockett and Jones. I suspect its a re-issused Alfred Sargent built to the standards of their premium line. Solid quality boot, I dont think they ever made it to the discount shelf given their popularity last season. Both the 5th Ave. and Madison Ave. locations sold out their stock before January.

I stand corrected. Stopped by BB today to check out the new plastic shoes. These ARE the Coniston on the 240 last. Sorry about the confusion.

So those are the same shoes as these being sold by Ben Silver then?

$478 at BB vs $485 at BS. Go figure.

Apart from 'plastic', how did they look in person?

Thanks for the updated reply. As it turns out, my BB doesn't carry them in-store. I ordered them over the weekend at 25% off and they arrived yesterday. They fit correctly, if a bit wide. I fully intend to wear heavier socks with them anyway, so no real problem there. For about $365, delivered, I'm pretty happy with them.

I gave them a coat of Kiwi medium brown cream and then a once over with medium brown paste wax. They darkened up a bit and are ready for the wet grass on Saturday morning.

Since you have first hand knowledge, did you look at the monks and/or Chelseas? Would you say they are C&J or AS?
