Anyone have experience with any of these Field watches?

These are all cheap and cheerful. If you want better you can buy a clean-faced one with automatic movement (no batteries) and swap out the strap for the NATO ones features. Something in the Seiko 5 range might be a good place to start...

Ahh yes I was actually looking at the Seiko 5, are you not a fan of those type of straps that they already have?

Sekio 5s get great reviews on here, though there's nothing wrong with a decent looking quartz. And I love the NATO band on that timex.

All of them seem to be 37mm too, which is nice. Giant watches tend to look gaudy IMO, I avoid anything over 40mm. Admittedly, part of that is that I'm a fairly small guy with small wrists, but various giant watches look awful to me on other people too.

With a little work and patience you should be able to find an old Omega automatic, especially affordable if you find one without a band. Throw a NATO on it and you have a great classic that will always be worth something if you decide to change your look.

Yeah would make sense to invest on something like a nice watch... Always worth it and I agree. Will definitely look around for a nice omega/orient watch maybe..? :)
