I saw this on eBay earlier. Ralph Lauren Sartorial. The pictures are crap. It's a RLPL looking suit, but the MSRP is listed as $7500.

It does exist. My sales rep at RL told me about it not too long ago. I had never heard of it before, but it sounded like it was basically a level beyond purple label.

I believe it is the precursor to Purple Label. I have an old Sartorial blazer which I've subsequently seen re-branded a PL, and have seen PL quality suits with the sartorial markings.

Jeez, for $7500, I'd get a couple Steed suits

They're not that inexpensive. $500, most likely.

What distinguishes them from regular PL is the fabric. Think Super 180's+.

I wonder how many of these the RL Mansion has sold at full retail to super wealthy Manhattanites.

Curious why you would choose Steed?

    F. Corbera approved! Was just throwing a Savile Row name out there, plenty of other tailors I'd love to order from if I had cash to burn.

The pattern matching on that suit leaves a little to be desired...

First thing I thought when I saw the tag.

    I'm not seeing this.

    you must be joking.

Look at the 2 center stripes on the picture of the back. They are about 1/2" apart at the top and mid back taper to about 1/4" apart.

Now, look at the front, both sides, mid chest. A stripe simply ends. Pocket flaps don't line up, etc.

Look at it again. I would say all striped coats with some sort of taper has the rear stripes wider in the upper back. What have you been seeing? Also, if you look at the front, the stripes on one side are symmetrical with the other side. You don't have such a good eye for this it seems.

My eye is far better than yours chief.

Most suits, such as this cheap shitty hugo boss have stripes that terminate into each other with back taper. Furthermore, in the glamour shot from the RL suit, you see on the chest the stripes terminating together mid chest. On this suit, a single stripe just ends, looking plain awful. Furthermore, on the glamour shot, the collar stripes match the lapel stripes.

The flap pockets on the right side generally match the stripes below the pocket ok, but don't line up with those at the top. On the left side, the hacking pocket strips don't match stripes above or below, while the standard left side pocket match on the downside, but not the upside.

    heres the hugo for comparison.

The RL suit looks awful and was probably made incorrectly, hence the steep discount

I suspect it's difficult to do well when the stripes are wider apart.
