Anyone else get a delay notice from Pediwear?

I just ordered the Loake Kempton (suede) from Pediwear. Found it cheaper elsewhere and they agreed to the price match discount but now.... they email to tell me they are all out and I needs must wait 3 weeks for the next factory run.

Anyone else get a delay notice? I am hoping this not a lame way for them to avoid selling me the boots at the discounted price.

I agreed to the delay but also thought to ask them if they would wait that same 3 weeks to charge my credit card (which I believe they should do; I ain't got the boots at least in the mail to me, they shouldn't have my money). I haven't heard back yet.

I tried to order the C&J Chelsea 5 from pediwear in December and the wait was 5 weeks. Pediwear didn't charge my card until they processed the sale when they got the boots. I thought the same about the price match guarantee, but I found out that other sites had a delay on the Chelseas too. I think if the price match wasn't legit we would have heard some complaints on SF.

I was thinking along these lines too. They did email back and confirm no charge until shipping.

Same problem here. I ordered a pair of Loake Burfords a month ago. On Monday they said they were despatched and would arrive in three days. Today is Friday and my shoes are still not here yet.

The Loakes were a test buy. I had planned to order a pair of Trickers fro Pediwear, however I might look somewhere else.

manufacturer sending to pediwear: 2/12-2/19
awaiting despatch: 2/20/09

Hopefully they send it tomorrow and I get it next week!
