I've been looking at purchasing a new, versatile winter coat that will go well with both jeans and dress trousers/ maybe everything short of a suit. so far, this is the one I'm leaning towards, opinions?

Just make sure you button the coat on the opposite side otherwise it will look like a ladies coat.

Nice coat. Last year I bought one that looks similar in navy by Isaia. This year I'm considering a db Chesterfield topcoat.

damn that burberry pea coat looks good, but with my budget i can't afford $900 or whatever for another jacket right now.
for cheaper options, i was thinking about
this polo RL one , (although its not in grey)
also, i there's this one at charles tyrwitt

last week i posted in a thread that i was looking at this coat from J.Crew, if your not only looking for a pea coat

Raglan-sleeved tweed coat with a turn-down collar.

Alden has a nice one on a LL thread.

I recently saw an amazing fabric for this kind of coat. The plaid was a good 6 by 5.

Umm, are you planning to move out of state or something?

Until it gets under 90-degrees here, how can you even think about this?

LOL.... I am in Portland and I haven't got my peacoat out yet - it gets down to close to freezing in the morning but the highs are around 60, so I feel like a sweating fool wearing my peacoat back from work. Not until the highs stay below 50 or so will the peacoat come out.

Foxx, I like that coat. I want a Horsey coat for the fall, living in SF, it gets cold here and want something wind and rain proof.

That said, with this economy, I am thinking of a new fleece-lined barrel with some tweed suspenders for the winter. Tradly Hobo.

I'll probably be getting this tomorrow if they have it in-store.
