I wonder if any British members know this manufacturer and can comment on the quality of the craftsmanship and especially on the top grain leather.

The Cox Furniture Store (also known as the Simonson Opera House or Edwards Opera House or New Baird Theater) is a historic site in Gainesville, Florida, United States. It is located at 19 Southeast First Avenue. On June 10, 1994, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

no experience but that's a handsome pic on the front page with the black chesterfield sofa with black captoes. would they be more expensive than a black leather florence knoll?

Florence Knoll sofa to furniture is what Gucci to classic men's shoes=overpriced, factory made, mass-exclusivity product. Who in a right mind would pay $8,000+ for a cloth sofa ($10,000+ for one in leather) made on metal and ply-wood frame with no springs? Yuppie that is who.

Gotta revive this thread.

Any feedback on these people? Kind of an odd website name.

How do they compare to the likes of Hancock & Moore?

Have been to their showroom, which is by appointment only, and seen the one or two items they sell at Liberties.

They certainly look very good in the flesh and were great to sit on etc but the proof is how these things are going to age and unfortunately we havent bought one yet and so cannot comment on that one critical element but would be equally interested to hear anyone that has as we will finally be looking to buy next year.
