just wondering if anyone else is dealing with hair loss/thinning? i am 25 and have been diffuse thinning for the last 6 months or so that ive noticed. started the big 3 treatment (finesteride, rogaine, ketoconazole shampoo) and now its just a matter of waiting to see how it works - from all the research i've done, it's pretty much the best and only thing that works.

anyone else in the same boat?

The same thing happened with me when I was 24. I started lifting weights for the first time in my life and I think the extra test kind of kicked the whole thing off(test converts into DHT, the hormone that causes hair loss). I knew I was losing hair and was very depressed for a good two weeks until I ordered some meds for it. I got finasteride. In about a week the shedding stopped completely.

I'm 30 now and have taken a pill a day for the past six years. It works. You should start as soon as you can. The longer you go without taking something, the less likely you will regrow anything. I have not had any breast tissue development or ED problems which are the side effects.

I buy it from this site:
    https://www.inhousepharmacy.vu/p-179-finpecia-tablets-1mg.aspx

Ships from the UK. It says it takes 2 weeks to get to America but for me it always takes 4 weeks. Still, it's a legit site.

I've been dealing with thinning hair for a number of years. I believe I've all but stopped the loss. I have not regained hair as far as I can tell, but seem to have stopping loosing at the early rate. What helped me was getting some sun exposure/vitamin D, eating lower carb, and buying a grounding pillow case of all things.

Recently I bought a shampoo with tea tree oil in it. That's suppose to have anti fungal properties. Some believe that helps with hair loss.

Was reading about apple cider vinegar helping with hair loss. I'll likely try that in the future.

It's been years since I've seen so much pseudo science crammed into a single post.

What ever happened to that one guy who went on a 30 day water fast?

Lol yeah there is so much BS out there about hair loss. It's sad how people try to take advantage of people who are desperate.

To any mem reading this with hairloss problems - if you want your hair back do the big 3 (nizoral shampoo twice a wee, generic rogaine (minox5%) twice a day, and generic finesteride once a day (talk to your doctor) - its a life time treatment, but it's the only thing that woks, and much easier and much cheaper than all the vitamins, oils and magic food in the world.

get the generic fin 5mg and cut it into 4s with a pill cutter (1.25mg a day) - it costs bout 10 bucks for 3 months supply, don't even need to worry about insurance.

I can see my post didn't go over well! Don't know about a 30 day fasting guy. You have me confused with someone else. I tried Nizoral shampoo. It didn't help me. I have read of it helping others though so worth a try I'd say. Rogaine didn't improve my hair unfortunately. That was the first item suggested and tried.

Not mentioned as I forgot but have tried and have been using the laser/LED light comb and helmet. That has made an improvement in my hair. The LED helmet i have just broke, so I'll be finding out how much it helped.

I wouldn't take finasteride & co. There side effects as ED so it's better to be bald, imho.

My hair started thinning in my early 20s. There was an initial period of shock and disappointment where I considered wearing hats more often and researching into taking pills as suggested above. After a couple weeks I came to the realization that the best way forward is just to age gracefully and with confidence. I cut my hair short and haven't looked back. Too many people become self conscious about hair and it holds them back in life. Even if you are taking a pill to maintain/fight off the hair loss, it is something that is constantly draining your mental energy and that breaks your self confidence.

Being comfortable with your body and yourself is far more important than fighting to reclaim some hair on your head will ever be.

started thinning at around 25, just kept it buzzed since. Really not an issue for me, even though it would be cool to have hair. Taking hormones to prevent hair loss is just insane from my perspective.

I don't know why anyone would risk side effects on their schlong with those pills, so I've been using hair-thickening serums and sprays. It's impossible to say if they're working or not since I don't want to risk stopping for 6 months to ascertain a control. I grow my hair out at the temples and bangs and hairdry forward; use some paste to keep it in place. It works well. My hope is by the time it gets bad enough I will be rich enough to afford surgery; if I still care about my appearance by then.

Reports say noticeable side effects usually are temporary. Almost all transplant surgeons say patients with male-pattern baldness should be taking hair loss medications when they do work on them.

What type of shampoo do you use when you wash? I've heard that shampooing often (several times a week or even every day) is good for your scalp and hair follicles when using the right kinds of shampoo. I've been experimenting with different shampoos. I found this list: http://menshair.guide/best-shampoos-for-hair-growth.html Anyone have any opinions about these products? I'm going the 'essential oils' route. I know it's a long road and I just started so I'm waiting for noticeable results. I see some buds already, but not sure if they would have been there without using these products since my hair has only been thinning for about a year now. What do you guys think?

The products that contain ketoconazole might help slightly, but those likely sponsored shampoos are overpriced.
