What's the selection like? Is it worthwhile to make a trip from the suburbs to see what they have?

I just looked at the site. Please tell me they have much more than what they show online.

I've been and was not impressed at all. It's pretty much just Eurotrash heaven--lots of D&G, Ed Hardy, tacky Prada sunglasses, etc. I would go to Stel's if I were you.

And make sure you check out Louis Boston, even if only to browse. They are the last store in that city to really have unique ultra high-end lines (think Bergdorf's), even if you are more likely to find something to actually buy at Stel's.

Riccardi has some decent stuff (used to have Vivienne Westwood) as well as a lot of Eurotrashy stuff. However, it is on Newbury St., which is the jewel of Boston shopping. Apart from Stel's, which sells a lot of brands talked about here, you should check out Alan Bilzerian, which is, imo, the real best store in Boston. You will see brands there that become popular a few years later. It is even ahead of stores usually considered cutting edge, like Atelier (carried some of the brands Atelier carried before Atelier even existed), and he really mixed it up to make things interesting. Of course, you should check out Louis, but it is a pale shadow of what it once was. It has really lost credibility as "the" store to break new brands. Still, lots to look at, including good Neil Barrett and Dries van Noten buys, as well as the best suiting money can buy.

Oh also Riccardi's does have a decent selection of Dior denim, although they do carry many of the bespeckled, etc washes that I personally would consider ugly.

If I remember correctly Riccardi's also has a good selection of Nudie jeans, if that is what you are looking for. Definitely check out Stel's.
