Hi,

so i've been looking at getting a J.crew Wool peacoat. However, i am unsure if I should get the small or xs. Is there anybody out there that owns one and can share their fit? I am 5'5" and 140 lbs. about a 37 or 38 in the chest. I always have a problem with sleeve length. Thanks for any responses and there's a link below of the coat.

I'm similar to you, slightly slimmer. I'm 5'6", 130 lbs. The Jcrew XS Peacoat fits me well, sleeve length could be slightly shorter but is acceptable for a Peacoat (this ain't a sportscoat!).

Go XS. J Crew peacoats are a little large, IMO.

To the above poster - 130 at 5'6" - that's great!

How easy is it to tailor wool? Like shortening the sleeves

its really easy. Any tailor can do it. My only concern is the melton used in JCrew peacoats is not at all good quality. It also looks very jcrew. You can tell where its from.

I had a wool gloverall coat shortened, so it seems wool is very easy to tailor
