I just bought a jacket from the italian brand Lardini (lardini.it)
I love the fit , it is half lined in linen so just perfect for the summer.
Anybody has any experience with this brand?
I usually buy Caruso when I buy RTW and the construction (and price) seem similar, but I am no expert.

I've also got a Lardini suit. It is a suitmaker that usually makes for brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, etc. but they also make some suits under their own name. I've loved my suit (made with Loro Piana fabric) and also love the fit.

I've got a Caruso, too, and though they aren't light years apart, probably Caruso is slightly nicer with a little more refined shape, lapel roll, etc. As well, my Lardini is only partially canvassed while the Caruso is fully canvassed. I've heard that Caruso's factory (Ma.Co) also makes suits for some other brands, like Dior Homme. But, again, they're both pretty close and both nice suits.

I had always thought that Lardini made clothes for overweight people.

    Very funny!

Yeah, yet another Italian brand whose name just doesn't translate well into an American setting, something like the unfortunately named "assholessi" brand of shoes that came out a few years ago. [IMG]

Being 6' and 155 pounds, I generally don't get laughed at too much when wearing my Lardassi/Lardini, but I nevertheless always find myself stressing the second syllable of the word to de-emphasize the LARD.
