Doesn't look bad, but I'd like to try it on before buying.

If you want to try it on prior to buying, why don't you then? It's from the Gap, it's not going to be rare. Go to one of their thousands of stores spread throughout the world and check it out in person.

It's only being sold on their website.

Buy it from the website, try it out, and return it if it doesn't work out. With a free return policy, you're only out the shipping costs, which is $7 at the cheapest.

My opinion? I'd imagine it wears like the rest of Gap's stuff. Which is a little boxy below the shoulders. But it might work for a peacoat.

I've worn this and its a great value. Modern cut which is to say fitted, shorter than most others. I think they're peacoats are pretty hard to beat for the price.

They give you the labels!

Other online retailers do that too but then deduct the shipping from the credited amount.
However, the peacoat could probably be returned at the GAP store to save on shipping price and hassle of packing it.
