5 years after doing 6 weeks or so of shadow boxing with a friend, I still have some sort of sagging should/AC joint separation in my shoulder, similar to below. Apparently it came from throwing rights too hard (and not hitting anything). I went through the medical path (doc, shoulder surgeon, phys therapist, etc) but they all said there was nothing I could do about it except risky surgery.
Anybody else have this problem? It's really irritating because I don't remember it happening at all- I just looked in the mirror one day and noticed it was sagging. Maybe I have really weak tendons or something, but wouldn't this injury happen all the time in martial arts classes if it was really this easy to cause? Now I have like 30% less strength in my right arm over my left and consequently less developed chest and back, and it aches occasionally.
One of the more annoying and SF-related problems it that my shoulders for my suit jacket aren't symmetrical anymore...
