Any suit brands with < 6" drop?

Ralph Lauren Purple Label features a 6" drop.

But ... why get hung up on the drop? If you buy retail, an in-house tailor can adjust if the suit has a 7" drop. If you're buying second-hand, you will probably be going to a tailor anyway to adjust this and that, and dealing with the drop is no big deal for a competant guy. Sure, you will likely have to pay, but it shouldn't be that much.

Some brands make portly cuts. The problem is you want a 36 . I bet most of the small drops start at 44 or even 46.

Except you are assuming that a drop 7 size 36 can be brought up to a 32" waist and that, in my very recent experience just isn't going to happen - you're talking 3" which is a lot of extra material.

This. I'm hesitant to even purchase a drop 6 online.

I'm usually a 36S and tried a Hickey (don't bother with the regular Hickey Freeman stuff) navy pinstripe in 38S at Off5th the other day. Jacket was a pretty good fit and I assume the pants were a 32 waist. Could not squeeze into the same jacket in 36S.

Option 1: Separates.
Option 2: 36R, pants let out in waist and seat.
Option 3: A slimmer 38R. Some brands just size weird.
