have a friend in the UK who is getting me a gift (from Superdry) and asked me to choose.... I've never tried on superdry before, so suggestions on sizing would be helpful also. I am about 38R suit size...5'10-170lbs.. i sorta fluctuate from 170-185lbs. Usually wear a Medium in most men's clothing..

so many of these jackets look the same.. and are around the same price... definitely don't want a puffer down-filled jacket... or a vest...

I don't think I need any super thin windbreaker-like jackets...

any suggestions would be helpful, just from a style point of view also :) thanks

Hooded windcheater black on black or contrasting color embroidered brand logo? Or blue one?

Non hooded version? Maybe black / hazard red? http://www.superdry.com/mens/jackets/details/33566/technical-windcheater

Or this more expensive $330 one I could get also...a cool looking snorkel jacket

Not sure what I'd wear the most... I only have one thick/warm casual jacket... I wore it the most this winter but it doesn't get too cold in the winter in oregon...was still necessary to wear the thick jacket though. I do t like to layer much because I sweat pretty easily....so usually wear just a t shirt underneath... maybe a cardigan on top of the tee shirt

I like their hoodies, most of their stuff is well made, but overdesigned. Choose what you like

Superdry copys every large brand, The logo placement(Northface) their Shoes (Allsaints) Boots (Redwing) Hoodies & Polo's (A&F) etc... even their labels copy Maharishi depending on what they are selling, theres nothing original in any of their line up, TK Maxx (TJ in US) sells the Jackets at 85% discount, wouldnt touch it mate, poor quality replica's of other brands.

Some of it looks okay.

My only two problems with Superdry...

1. The way they spam their logo all over everything they make is obnoxious. Any time a brand does this, it's an indicator that they don't know how to use actual design to set themselves apart from other brands, so they just come up with a loud as hell logo to use everywhere. Their brand is very clearly marketed toward the 16-22 year old crowd.

2. The quality is shockingly bad. I got one of their windcheater jackets. The stitching was coming off after 1 wash. Everywhere. The sleeves were coming unraveled, and the tape seams were losing thread fast. After about a month it was a goner.

Even Northface quality puts this brand to shame.

From a design point they do swag jack a lot (name a mass marketed brand that does not). Quality wise vs modern Abercrombie i would say super dry is far superior for polos, I can't say on other items. I like their polos a lot due to fit. The overwhelming branding on some items is not for me.

Correct. The polos I have from them are from peru and are well made. I have had polos from zenga gucci polo armani fred perry j crew and a whole mess of other cheap and expensive brands. Fabrics are not top notch but still pretty decent and the cut for me is far superior to any of the brands ive named. The pants I have from then are made in india and and ok fabric and decently made.
