Any recommendations for a relatively new style dress shoe for work?

$600 or less. I'd like to get a black and a chocolate pair.

I've done the double monk strap and the oxfords, I want something new on the horizon.

My dress is business formal at work but i have freedom when it comes to dress shoes

Maybe dress boot or dress loafer of some kind. Maybe I should use different, instead of new. Cause wouldn't want some goody looking space age Prada bubble boots

Then I think you've answered your own question. Look at Meermin, Carmina, Allen-Edmonds, Carlos Santos, and I'm sure there are others in that price range. All have dress boots, loafers, and more.

A chiselled loafer is very usable in a wide range of contexts.

Your work is still business formal, the shoe should echo that. I'd suggest a dress boot, a nice captoe variety maybe.
