I have a bottle and very much enjoy it. But it has it's place. I would almost think of it as a summer scotch. It is a lighter and fruitier scotch. For $35 I would definitely pick up a bottle.

I have to agree, $35 is a steal. You can definitely taste the dessert wine influence in it. Would also agree that it's a nice summer bottle. If you ever have a chance to try the Glenmorangie Astar, IMO, it is outstanding. Also just picked up a bottle of the Glenmorangie Finealta and it's quite good too, although I had very high expectations based on all the glowing reviews and it was a slight disappointment.

More people would but I figure a lot of Scotch drinkers don't know what dried fish tastes/smells like... shows up in a lot of Islay malts. Really old Laphroaigs have a pretty good dose of "shellfish" too.

just another cool $109.97 down the drain!! it's delicious though. i am also pumped to know that a small liquor store 2 miles from my house does bottle splits for higher end liquor. he has a list of people and once it hits 2 or 4 people, he decants them into 375ml or 188ml bottles. this will be deadly to my wallet.

That decanting thing sounds awesome. I'm lucky no one around here does that. [IMG]

i asked how long it takes to get a group and he said not long because most guys don't want to shell out $100+ for a bottle. they're happy with spending $25-40 to try and usually come back days later and buy a full bottle.

and of course i put my name in for some. [IMG]
