The peat/wine interplay on the nose is just lovely. Sweetness of the wine somewhat surprisingly wins the day, to my nose.

Will say, it’s amazing how heavy a scotch can feel relative to a similarly strong tequila.

Most of the time I prefer the lightness of wine over Scotch, but still imbibe it weekly. Wine 6 nights out of 7. Never could stand the taste of tequila.

That Highland Park (Orkney) will be a banger. I have a bottle from the cask number right after it and I call it a Springbank killer. I have a couple bottles on preorder.
Due to the varied nature of HPs, I only got one, but if it is indeed that good, I'll be getting backups.

How was the Orkney? Highland parks can be so different. Some sweet, some savory, some almost no smoke, others almost like a Lagavulin
I thought I had posted it here. Forgot that you already asked about it. Here's the pic of it again where you can see the barrel/date. Should be very similar to the K&L one.
