Think I need to search this out at Spec's or Total Wine here in Houston, this looks like a good one, and I've enjoyed their releases whenever I've had them in the past.
@Watchman1 -- I've heard they really watered the stuff down w/ the rebrand. IYHO, how does it compare to the original formula? I've heard not so good things, and I can't imagine they could have improved upon it, especially if the bottling is any indication.there is like a 1mm gradient on the top of the scotch in the glass. Don’t know how you could enjoy that.
It is a fantastic spirit filled with wonder. Gentle smoke and sherry mingled with a subtle saline nose. Taste is mellow yet complex and does not let you down. It tastes like it noses. Wafts of faint smoke on the front side with stewed red fruits. A real stunner.
@Watchman1 — As evidenced above, longtime Benromachmo here, as well as a fan of your posting. I was asking if you had occasion to try the OLD Benromach 15 yr old (pictured below) and how it compares to the NEW Benromach, pictured above.Try the Benromach 10 yr. old. Best smoker for the $. While I'm normally a fan of smoothness and subtlety, this bottle has won me over. The perfect whisky after a steak dinner.
Ah yes, my apologies Sir. I do believe I sampled the previous edition as well.
