Yeah I am sure it was defunct when I first bought that bottle, which was the only one I had ever seen. There were some epic whiskies in that lineup, and quite a number of silent stills.One doesn't even see the Rare Malts line much anymore.
Sad fact is that prices really didn't drop when the tarriffs were repealed - it is like the ratchet effect for producers. People were used ro paying that money and so they still do. I wonder how much of the 'inflation' his year has been falsely blamed on logistics and ports and worker shortages ans whatever when it is merely a convenient excuse to raise prices?![]()

Bought this one last weekend, and man, did I like it a lot. I had been off of the Islay malts for years, just lost my taste for it, but after a Lagavulin 16 at a bar about a year ago, I dove back in. This one was just so good, maybe my favorite of all the Islays I have tried recently.
