Damn you. I was going to post this tomorrow, but this Macallan was excellent.

I really like Amrut, especially their non-peated stuff (Their peated stuff is almost too potent to me)

Ah crap, I just discovered a new source for hard to find single malts (at least in my area). Bye bye bonus.

Scotch is cheaper than therapy and probably more efficacious.

Except this isn't scotch. Indian and Taiwanese single malts. :fonz:

    Generics are OK too.

    This is small, but potent.

24 YO BIB? Very interesting. If your location of "North Bay" means the north part of the San Francisco Bay Area, PM me -- there are periodic get-togethers with whiskey guys (both scotch and bourbon) (and usually cigars).

Just picked up a bottle of Mortlach 25 YO Gordon & MacPhail as well as an 18 YO independent bottling of Highland Park. I tend to drink more scotch in cool weather and more bourbon in warm weather. The Mortlach dodges the overwood bullet which is pleasing. I have not opened the HP but had an Old Particular bottling of HP 20 from last year that was excellent.
