I'm 19 years old and just recently got my first legitimate job. Part time(6 hours a day) in a warehouse, but I still find myself bored at home in my off time.

Does anyone have any ideas of ways I can make a little money while on my computer? I'm going to start learning some basic programming so I could probably turn that but I'm looking for something I can do right now.

Thanks for your ideas!

Start a forum like this in which people help other people make money through their computer at home. No really, this is a good idea.

And in before the glut of snark and humor.

Start messing around with Wordpress, Joomla, and/or Drupal. If you are the programming type, Drupal is the most difficult, but also the most powerful. Start making some websites and then you can either shop your talents offline or on a website like elance or odesk...

Day trading. I've done it since 19.

It's like poker...expensive learning curve but if you're good, you won't lose money.

+1 to surveys, although research around to learn which places are legit, plenty of scams.

take your hobby, and start a blog or forum about it. connect to facebook, twitter, etc, do youtube reviews, get a following and then monetize (get company sponsorship, advertising, etc)

Most of those "surveys" work out to about $5/ hr for some incredibly boring and repetitive tasks, are loaded with malware, and have about a 50% chance of actually paying out at the end (i.e., not being scams).

You can answer questions for ChaCha. You get between .10 and .20 per questions comes out to about 5-6 dollars an hour. But you can work anytime you want for as long as you want.

Did this for a few months in college, was not worth it.
