hello everybody,
going to be traveling to taipei around christmastime; staying there for 2-3 weeks. any hotel recommendations? i've looked at the websites for the hotel ambience (looks cool) and the shangri-la (looks a slight bit pricey), but there's only so much i can glean from reading scattered reviews. i'd say location is pretty important and so is service.

thanks!

In usually stay at the grand hyatt. not sure I'd say ambience, but it is nice, clean and good service

depends what you're willing to pay, what you'll be doing in taipei, etc.

the Grand Hotel Taipei is the nicest imho but can also be pricey.

Lots of decent and cheap places around Taipei, but if this is your first time I think its better to stay around or near the area where 101 is.
