I've been thinking about picking up a sewing machine and playing around with some old shirts. I'd love to be able to take in sides, add darts, hem/slim my own pants, etc.

I've been scouring Google, Youtube, etc but all I can find are crappy expert village videos or things pertaining to womens clothing. Anyone know of some good resources, How-To's, or guides? Preferably visual

Thank you, I did find that in a search but from my perusing seems more about making clothes from scratch and the trade in general. I'm looking for more DIY guides, slimming up pants, adding darts, taking in sides of shirts, etc.

Ah. Makes sense. Women/seamstresses are actually good at the "adding darts" thing. The pants, not so much.
