i didn't know they had lesser lines but it turns out it's not mainline. its a Lindsey. im a bit perturbed b/c i know i can get a better deal. this cost me $599 and it looks nice, but i dk.What weren't you impressed about it? Was it mainline Hickey Freeman or a lesser line?
turns out it was a Lindsey, no a mainline suit. :/
paid $599 for it.
i posted a link to a D&G suit i found on ebay but it wont process right away b/c im new
Most of my suits are HF Mainline bought on sale at Dillards or NM Last Call for under $400 over the past 10 years. Unfortunately, those days are over -- HF quality is not what is used to be and prices are higher.
At the $600 price point (or a little bit more), I would go with one of the respected traveling tailors -- mytailor.com, etc. and get exactly what I wanted. A lot depends upon their travel schedule, where you live and when you need the suit. At that price, I would not buy a suit from Macys, Men's Warehouse, JoS Bank, etc. If you need it sooner, I'd check The Wizard of Ahs, Indochino, Black Lapel, etc.
I think you need to read around here more before purchasing unless you're in a hurry.
big hurry. i only have about a week to return this suit i just bought for a refund or else i need to keep it (the HF "Lindsey")
im going to off 5th today to see if i can find a better deal...
You can always return it without buyin a new suit... when do you need the suit for?
