Any good deals on a Cashmere Overcoat

Hello all,

I can't take the crappiness of my Jos. Bank overcoat anymore. It is going in the trash ASAP (okay, not trash, I'll donate it).

That said, I'd like to get a higher end 100% cashmere topcoat/overcoat. However, many places don't seem to carry that many right now. Anyone aware of any sites/stores that are running good deals on overcoats right now? (I'm looking to pay around $5-600). I've already looked at STP, STF, VCH, and Ehaber.

Thanks

STP used to have an awesome SB peak lapel Michelangelo cashmere overcoat. It got down to about $100. but I suppose it's probably gone now.

Check out Sak's Off 5th (the Outlet), if you can. I was in a few days ago and saw a rack of cashmere overcoats that looked as if they were headed for final clearance. Plus, I think there is an additional sale there this weekend.

Didn't check the pricing, as I am well-stocked, but I've had good luck there in the past.

He doesn't have any 46 longs. Also, what's the deal with this "Baroni" brand? It sounds like a ripoff of an Italian name, but for a garmet not made in Italy.

I don't know if there were any full cashmere coats last time I was in Off 5th, but there were some nice 100% cashmere Hickey Freeman overcoats at the Saks store that were 50% off of $2,000. Blows your budget, but ...

A few months ago I bought and returned really nice grey cashmere a coat from AJM in the B&S forum. If you're a 46 it may be the right size, it was a bit big for me. Might be worth a PM to see if he didn't resell it.

Also, I know Filenes Basement had a ton of simple, classic HSM cashmere coats this winter and may still have some left. Not top of the line but a good coat at a good price.

I had been searching high and low and found a sweet ETRO navy coat this winter that I love.

I was at the Nord Rack.. they were clearing out a bunch. I saw a nice HSM for less than $130, but alas a hair too small for me.

I went to the Chicago Nord Rack today, and they didn't have much of a selection of overcoats. They did though have a few Burberry Trenches for less than $400. I could barely resist buying one. I also visited the State St. Filene's and they had a number of HSM's but none in 48L which I need in HSM.

I got a Nathan Jacobs at Saks for $700, 50% off. The cut is variable within this brand, since they use so many manufacturers - the other stuff was selling for 350-500. It was 100% cashmere with Loro Piana fabric - that stuff is really really good. I had a Boss suit with Loro Piana wool/cashmere blend for last 3 years and wore it everyday during winter - great fabric.
