Any experience with MMM dress shoes? I've worn their casual before, and found that they fit a bit tight so you might need to go up a half size.

I'm considering these bad boys on sale (made in Italy, calf leather, kind of classic but different). Let me know if they look horrible:

BTW--is there a should i shouldn't i buy thread in MC? I don't see it but use it in SW&D.

Cheers!

MMM usually have a nice shape and some use out there treatments/colours. They are not particularly well-made and usually run one size bigger (i.e. a size 42 fits like a 43).

Seem a bit blobby in the toe. The leather looks very thin, they seem to be buckling under their own weight in places. Soles look like they might last ten minutes, at a push. I am sure they will be very comfortable but will they last? I suppose depending on the price it may not matter. Six pairs of eyelets seems overkill but I'm nit-picking now. Not my fave shoe and I wouldn't buy but certainly not too bad either.

They're $420 on sale, and I don't want to drop that unless we're talking fairly high quality. I haven't seen 'em in person and don't feel like going through the returns process.

Seems like the verdict is spotty. I'll check this out in person next time. Thanks guys!
