I have always been interested in looking at birds. My mother in law gave me a pair of binoculars and a field guide to Michigan birds. Does anyone here enjoy bird watching as well. Any tips on how to attract them to your yard? I glanced th ebook over and didn't realize we had that many bird species in Michigan.

I like birds. It can be really relaxing to sit in a garden and watch the birds. My mom plants herbs or flowers or something that attract hummingbirds. Whenever I visit, it is interesting to watch those little birds hover around.

I do it casually, not with binoculars and everything but I have a bird feeder. Been thinking about going to wildlife areas to do the real kind of bird watching. It is relaxing especially on a nice day to hang around outside near them. Some months make it even more interesting with all the different mating calls.
