I think yes. I have a vintage calf from him. The pair of mine have a glazed look to it and is really dense and tight grain. Not quite shell rolls but not quite standard creasing. I’m not sure I’d call it buttery soft so much as dense and smooth.Many thanks. And...apologies, as I'm sure it's been covered many times in this thread and other places, but the special vintage pieces are supposed to be...especially buttery soft? especially tightly grained? especially prone to crease only in the finest and most elegant way? It's something to do with modern tanneries changing their practices? Or do these vintage hides come from a now-extinct breed of unicorn calves?
