Sizing Question: Im looking at buying that RTW dark brown suede Equites on the soft square last, wondering about sizing. I own an Oxford on the argentum round last, and an Aires loafer on an obscure almond last that I think is based on the B last, both in size 8UK. the Oxford is a pretty good fit overall, just the right amount of room in the toe box, but a bit tight on the instep. the laces don't close all the way, and I still get a bit of pressure/pain in that area after a long day. compared to a pair of Bemers I own, which close immaculately at the laces, the AMs are tight. For the loafer, its a bit loose, but I think if it was an Oxford it would fit perfectly, should I size up to 8.5 uk in the soft square, or maintain 8 uk? anyone have thoughts from experience?

also, does anyone know what the deal is with lasted shoe trees? I've been on the lookout for a pair to purchase for my oxfords for like a year and a half, and they have never been restocked on the website. I have a J Fitzpatrick shoe tree that fits it pretty well, but if im going to make a purchase of another pair, it would be nice to have a lasted tree. has anyone had luck with emailing prior to purchase?

You can provide your A B C measurements and tell your experience thus far. Their recommendations are super helpful.

Also ask about the shoe trees for the pair you already have. See my post right before this one. That link will work when ordering trees for a shoe in the same order, but for an existing pair you might need to communicate over email to get the message across.

Size & Fitting Guide – Meccariello Shoes

Thanks for the tip, I've dropped them a note with my measurements to see what they think. I've emailed Angela previously about the shoe tree issue, and never got a response back. I included that in the email to see what she says. good to hear that there are shoe trees in stock, i guess. just not so easy to track them down lol

Definitely not. I'd love them to have better infrastructure (website), which would make everyone's lives easier (especially theirs). For now we attribute that to the Italian charm, haha.

Damnit. Which one of you decided to list like an entire collection in my size on eBay including two pairs of AMs while I’m in the middle of trying to not buy shoes?

After an online patina lesson with Hancore (aka Greg Park who works with Justin FitzPatrick in the USA now), some advice from local patina artists at Berluti and Corthay (it’s lucky to be in a small city with both of them), and some experiments, I finally began the re-work of my AM Aurum RTW.

The reworked version has a bit more shading and colour variation along the stitching and brogues.

You certainly are a much braver man than I am. I wouldn't even attempt messing with a variety of colors like that.
