I went into Mario's shop in Florence. Very nice.
I asked that same question to Mario, but didn't receive a response from him. He just said that the shoes were made within the city limits of Florence.

I'm quite the curious person, so I asked neighborhood folks about factories within Florence. I was informed that there is a small shoe factory in Sieci (one can even arrange to have a tour there). No one directly mentioned that factory in connection with Mario Bemer but they did mention Stefano Bemer originally had a workshop near Sieci.
The people also said Mario used to be around that factory, not sure in what respect.

Is it a coincidence? ??‍♂️.

Also right now Argentum RTW is the best option, that get you in the 550 euro range for handwelt (though better IG him to make sure it’s not the older stock on Argentum welt).

Argentum MTO all seem to start around 700 euro ish
Is all the argentum rtw now on handwelt now?

Well it isn't definitive unless we hear it from Mario. Odd coincidence.

I will say that Greve, where Stefano Bemer's original shop was, is not that close to the Sieci, about 45 min. Yet only 20+ minutes driving or by train to where Mario's shop in Florence is located.

The problem with being in Florence is I think I’d almost rather just spend all my money on food instead of shoes. Just roll me out of there at the end of my trip. Borgo San Jacopo, Regina Bistecca, Cibreo. No idea if Acqua al 2 is still there but their steak with various reductions - blueberry, balsamic, whatever the last one I was too drunk to remember was. Delicious.

If you're craving Acqua al 2, hit up Eastern Market in Washington, DC...owners opened up a restaurant there and you can now get the steak with all the reductions

It definitely checks the box on occasion but there are so many other go to's when I'm back. If I'm craving pasta I'm more likely to hit Sfoglina or Fiola. Steak you can find me at Joe's or I'll jump the bridge and hit Oak in Old Town. Add in some Ben's or Cava on my way through security on the way out of town and I'm a happy camper. Is the pandemic over yet?

Centurions on pig skin plus toe taps, trees and shipping. $1200 euros (1800cdn).

???
I had asked her awhile back about a split toe in Peccary, and she quoted slightly under 1200 euros, excluding trees and shipping...
