Test shoes for my aurum, though being a “test”, I think the leather quality and finishing are on par with a lot of my other high end shoes.

I know right, they look nothing like a "test shoe", however, you can easily spot some fitting issues with the shoes, mainly instep/ arch support. Antonio made further last adjustment based on the review on this pair, looking forward to my Aurum!!!!

Yes... I ordered 2 years ago, a lot of things happening so the delivery time kept being postponed... Checked with him couple weeks ago AM told me October, hopefully he's a man of his word.

2 years!! Daaaaamn, that is why i dont feel confortable with MTO programs, patience is not one of my skills ?

well, Aurum is different ballgame I assume, I think my GMTO has always been much shorter.
looking at my email

1. first GMTO (AM direct) placed on Apr 2017, delivered on Oct 2017

2. second GMTO (Yeossal) placed on Nov/Dec 2017, delivered on June 2018 (suppose completed in April in Italy, but then has to go to Singapore)

3. third GMTO (AM direct) placed on Jan 2018, delivered on June 2018

4. stock, was something I saw on IG, talk to AM directly, he shipped within two days

As I said, there were a lot of things happening on my order, I suspect if anyone will have the same drama as me hence my timing should not be used as reference.

Two years ago... it was about the time when I started with AM shoes, or indeed, better shoes

It was a time when test shoes were still encouraged (now it’s more or less discouraged, due to his production capacity), when seamless wholecut boots could still be ordered, when delivery for normal MTO was 18-20 weeks...

What have remained unchanged, perhaps, are the attention to detail, the passion for an ever-improving construction and finishing, and continuous innovations in models and styles.

P.S. It looks like my real Aurum MTM or bespoke would need to wait until 2022, or at least when COVID-19 is over...
